MOTORBIKE CLEANER
This mood-board reflects a tech-forward CMF direction through a monochromatic palette, emphasizing sleek and sophisticated design. The forms shown are clean with smooth surfaces, subtle curves, and minimal visual noise. Materials like soft-touch polymers, brushed metals, and technical textures suggest durability, hygiene, and ergonomic comfort.
We began ideating with a larger, wheeled unit for mobility but quickly realized it compromised simplicity and ease of use. This led to the development of a compact, portable, chordless cleaning device that delivers full functionality.
Our final concept showcases a steam powered cleaning device with an attachable cleaning brush and drying cloth. This enabling users to easily switch between scrubbing and drying with one hand. For the connections between the main device and the instruments, we decided to use the ejector spring mechanism used in manual whisking machines. This allows the tools to be quickly and easily disengaged from the device with a simple click.
ATMOS is compact and ergonomic, featuring a detachable handle unit that integrates seamlessly with modular cleaning attachments, including a brush and drying cloth.
This CMF strategy highlights matte and speckled finishes, silicone grips for the handle and under edge of the base, and industrial greys, giving it a durable feel that aligns with the rugged yet refined world of modern motorcycling.
Polypropylene - a lightweight, durable plastic known for its high mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and high melting point, making it ideal for use in high-temperature, water-exposed, or chemically harsh environments.
Polycarbonate - a strong, impact-resistant material that combines rigidity with high malleability, allowing it to be easily shaped while maintaining structural integrity.
Brush with nylon brush bristles protects delicate surfaces and helps loosen dry dirt. The microfiber cloth has a material make up of 80% polyester, 20% polyamide which is absorbent, fast-drying, and gentle. Ideal for safely removing water, dirt, and grime from hard-to-reach areas without scratching.
